I moved into a new house in the Naki in May of last year. The house had a massive deck out the back. Come summer, when the sun started to shine on the deck, the deck was hot and unusable from about 12 to sundown. The deck also had a wide open feel to it and was not very cozy or comfortable. I decided to put up a louvre system and went to market to find a supplier. As a result of my research and subsequent evaluation of companies which included price I selected the team at the Outdoor Room Company. Their pricing was slightly lower than competitors but I thought their design was better. Whew. Having said all that, lets talk about the project. The project to install went very, very well. In the time of shortages introduced by COVID, the Outdoor Room Company ORC delivered in the time frames promised. Most of the time spent was waiting on the components which came from ORCs supplier as you would expect in COVID times. However, the lead times ORC gave were pretty much spot on. Once the components were delivered, ORC was quick and efficient in their installation. The result A BEAUTIFUL Louvre system with a white roof and black posts and frames complete with blinds. We couldnt be happier. The system has totally transformed our deck from an unusable space into an outdoor living area that we now use morning, noon and night. Its fantastic. It looks great and its highly functional. The system is in a spot that gets punished by wind and rain frequently. The louvre system closes by itself should rain unexpectedly arrive. Theres no problem at all with the rain as the built in guttering channels it away. The blinds can withstand wind up to about 50kph and he have them down quite a lot. We are really surprised how much rain and wind the blinds keep out. We have an infrared heater out there which helps it be cozy and we used the room all winter. Finally, the room sits in a position that can be viewed by a lot of people on foot. I have had knocks on the door asking all about the system and I love the compliments we get as well. It has transformed the house and Im sure, has added value beyond the cost to the system. I highly recommend the ORC team. They are responsive, communicative, professional, good at installation and just plain a great bunch of people to deal with. I would use them again perhaps at the next house.
